November 1, 2023 Flying Session

December 6, 2023 Flying Session

There were two Bong Eagles flying at Racine on December 6. Jeff A. was trying out his new Semi-Tandem A-6 (AMA Rule Book) model. Joe B. flew 2 of his No-Cal planes, but had best results with his F1L (EZ-B) model. There were also 2 groups of Science Olympiad flyers from Wisconsin high schools. They successfully tuned up some of their models.

February 7, 2024 Flying Session

There were two Bong Eagles flying at Racine on February 7. Jeff A. was trying out his new Dime Scale B.A.T. (British Aerial Torpedo – manned version) that he built from a Volare Products Short Kit. Volare has documentation for this rare experimental WWI Monoplane (https://volareproducts.com/blog/?page_id=3524/). He also got his “Stringless Wonder” to fly well. This flying Kite from Bill Hannan plans will be a one design contender at the EAA Flight Fest. Joe B. had best results with his simple R.O.G. model. There were also 2 groups of Science Olympiad flyers from Wisconsin high schools, one of novices and the other quite advanced. They successfully tuned up their models. Mike K. and Jim G. came out to also aid the students and their coaches.

March 6 Flying Session

There were three Bong Eagles flying at Racine on March 6. Jeff A. was flying his planes for F1L and A6 competition. He also got his “Stringless Wonder” to fly well (64 seconds). This flying Kite from Bill Hannan plans was a one design contender at the EAA Flight Fest. Chuck M. had great flights with an impressive Limited Penny Plane. He also coached the Science Olympiad fliers. Joe B. brought his new Jetco R.O.G. model and a new Stringless Wonder. He was able to get the trimming process started. There were also a number of Science Olympiad flyers from 3 Wisconsin schools. They successfully tuned up their models. Jeff A. and Joe B. contributed photos.
