Summary by Jeff A.
All arrived at about 10 am with somewhat strong East winds ranging from thermal lulls of 3-5 mph to gusts of 10-12 mph. Mike conducted some initial testing on his 1956 Bienenstein Avenger stick model, which, on low turns , was stable and showed-much promise. Boomer thermals were numerous and coming through all day. Mike had a fantastic Gollywock flight which based on his GPS tracker data had reached an altitude of nearly 600 ft and landed nearly 2 miles downwind. Jim was testing a re-purposed P30 model which he had built a new wing utilizing a composite tube main spar, which eliminated wing warps that the previous wing had issues with. Jeff flew his Super Delta Dart and Thermal Dart models which flew well without drifting too far.
